Celebrate Shavuot – Feast of Pentecost
Hi all,
We’d like to invite you to a special event we will hosting at our home at the end of the month: Celebrate Shavuot – the Feast of Pentecost
Come celebrate the ancient Hebrew festival of Shavuot (pronounced sha-voo-oht), referred to in the New Testament as the feast of Pentecost. Shavuot is the conclusion of Passover, celebrating the giving of the Law at Mt. Sinai and the inauguration of Old Covenant. It was on this holiday, fifty days after Messiah’s resurrection that God choose to inaugurate the New Covenant by the pouring out of the Holy Spirit. On Shavuot, we highlight and celebrate the New Covenant of grace in Messiah. From deliverance to identity – we look back to where we have come from, who we are, and forward to where we are going. Come celebrate with a blend traditional customs for the holiday and contemporary messianic worship music, followed by a potluck brunch.
Please bring a friend, and a dish to share.
